Rodents

Rodents are smart! But not as smart as our solutions!

Rodents pose a multitude of problems for residents and business owners. Every year they cause major damage to crops and electrical systems. With ever growing teeth they constantly need to gnaw and unfortunately our property and goods seem to be the perfect chew toy!

To add to the turmoil rodents carry many different diseases that can range from a mild rash, digestive disorders and even death. Transmission usually occurs through bites, food contamination and other rodent hosts including ticks, fleas and mites. All these potential problems make rodent control a must and that is why we specialize in keeping rodents out of homes and businesses.

Rodent CONTROL

No matter what stage the infestation is at or if you solely want to keep rodents out we always inspect first. Our inspection consists of identifying all access points in and around the premise. After properly identifying any potential access points we device a customized exclusion plan. This plan consists of “rodent proof” materials which we use to seal of all points of entry. Through caulking and installing wire mesh we promise to keep rodents out and peace of mind in where it belongs, your home and/or business.

If an infestation does exist we will combine the exclusion plan with a rodent elimination plan to give you full coverage of your pest problem. Our rodent protection plan consists of exclusion, baiting, trapping and monitoring. The first step is to identify the type of rodent. From there we will have an idea of its behavioral patterns. We will also identify any hot spots that the rodents are targeting or using as a food source.

After the initial inspection our technician will strategically place labeled baiting stations and traps away from children and pets in areas the rodents will come in contact with. We use leading bait station technology and SST (soft secure technology) baits. All of our baiting stations are temper proof. A bait station is nothing without the right bait so we choose only the best gel baits around which entices the target pest even if other food sources are available. Lastly depending on the type of plan we will come back to dispose the target pest or leave instructions on how to do so.

If you have a rodent problem please do not hesitate to give us a call. Rodents can become a health hazard and the sooner we stop the problem the better it is for your health, home and property.

DIY Tips

Your best defense is exclusion. Keep doors, receiving areas and indoor trash/recycling rooms closed when possible. Seal cracks, holes and gaps in building walls.
The white footed deer mouse (Peromyscus leucopus) has been known to spread the deadly Hantavirus through droppings and urine. Take precautions when cleaning! Wear gloves and wet down dried urine and droppings to reduce airborne contaminants.
